Dear Lindsay and Jared,
This is a great story, wonderfully drawn and concepted! Did you know there are some very large net communities in Europe about Polar Bears who will be very interested in your story? I hope you do not mind me mentioning the link there? I noticed on earlier pages you would wellcome interest in ‘The Last of the Polar Bears’.
Kind regards,
Frans
(The Netherlands)

Hi Dumba!
Greetings from the USA! Thanks for the comment! It’s great to hear from fellow polar bear fans! I discovered Knut when I was doing research on polar bears last year, and fell in love with the little guy too (although not quite so little anymore). I’ve done a number of sketches specifically of Knut – you can view those here: http://www.lastpolarbears.com/tag/knut/
Hallo. I am a state-side polar bear lover who got your website from a posting by Frans. We love Knut (Zoo Berlin)and many other polar bears in zoos around the world….Your story is charming….and I’m hoping mama comes to the rescue!
Hi Knuti-judi! Thanks for the comment! Great to hear from a fellow polar bear fan! I hope you enjoy the continuing story!
hello, I am cyber friends with Frans, Dumba and Knuti-Judi (I live in the US)…people in the “Knutian” community have been posting your link everywhere today..facebook and several other of our Knut sites. You will be getting a lot of hits and appreciation! I can’t wait for the next installment!
Hi there Betsy! Thank you so much for passing my link around! I’m thrilled to be acquiring so many new readers! I hope you enjoy the continuing adventures of Ursula, Nanook, and Stella! My goal is to reach out and show the beauty of polar bears and the problems they are currently facing out there in the wild, in the best way I can…through comics. 🙂
I am afraid my earlier comment was expressed a little ambiguous. Let it say a bit less ambiguous:
There are a lot of Knut-Berlin-Fans all over the world, who have visited Knut already several times to near to daily and who are also interested of all other polar bears IN THE WORLD! Just to name some: ….Willy, Klondike, Coldilocks, Flocke, Rasputin, Vera, Felix, Wilbär, Ewa, Anton, Corinna, Antonia, Lara, Bill, Knut, Tosca, Lars, Nancy, Katjuscha, Hudson, Cuker, Nanuk, Arktos, Aika, Troll, Valeska, Venus, Manasse, Churchill, Vienna, Vilma, Boris, Noel, Freedom, Sprinter, Water, Victoria, Lloyd ….. in North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro, Philadelphia Zoo, Tiergarten Hellabrunn München, Antibes-France, Tiergarten Nürnberg, Maryland Zoo Baltimore, Zoologischer Garten Berlin, Tierpark Berlin, Erlebnis-Zoo Hannover, ZOOM Gelsenkirchen, Zoo Rostock, Zoo am Meer Bremerhaven, Edinburgh Zoo, Highland Wildlife Park Kincraig Cairngorms, ….

Just found this and I love it. It’s so cute and the art and coloring is amazing. I really hope to see an update 😀
Wow, I’m loving this comic already! The art and characters are amazing and so well-done! I already feel really close to them. 🙂 I can’t wait to see how the story progresses!
Adorable!

Very impressive drawings, nice character design and an interesting and highly important background. I hope this project flourishes!
Man please add more comic strips i have been checking up since you said you will post more comic strips by October LAST YEAR so PLEEEEEEEASE add more!!!!
Ahh, I’m sorry! Other things have been taking up all my time lately (including some very important work in regards to getting this series published), but hang in there–I’m currently working on a patch of new pages. <3

This is a lovely comic with a lot of promise in it- I’m hooked already! 8D
I hope to see more pages soon, and how Stella and Nanook learn to survive in the Arctic world. You’re touching an issue that needs a lot more attention than it does right now, while keeping your readers entertained by the adventures of your characters, and that’s awesome.
how are you?

Hi Lindsey,
Well here’s another truely wonderful web comic discoverd, thanks for the link from Artspots, this is one of the few comics that is not only beautiful, but has a really wonderful heart warming story as well. I love our furry friends, I wish I could be there with Ursula, Nanook & Stella, I know I’d have a terrific time playing with them will certainly look forward to more. Thanks for sharing this really terrific comic, really love it.

Take good care of yourself
Thank you for telling me. This is deeply saddening news. Poor Knut. He was still so young! 🙁
This comic is very beautifully done. I came across the cover art and was immediately drawn in. Very wonderfully crafted; art and story. <3 I'm a fan~! Nanook is adorable.
Hey guys! Love the comic so far, but when will you continue it? It’s almost Mai 2011… and there haven’t been updates for a while… I’m just wondering, cause I really like your comic ^^
Thanks for the comment, Anna! I’m so sorry to keep everyone hanging on the storyline. 🙁
I actually have the next 20 or so pages completely drawn, but unfortunately the last couple months have been consumed with freelance work, leaving me with no time to color and finish them. Freelance work has been good for keeping a roof over my head, but not so good for our polar bear family’s adventure. :/ I’m not sure when the next update will be, but hopefully I’ll be able to start fitting polar bear pages back into my schedule soon. Thanks for your patience!
Dear Lindsay, how nice to get news of you. Thank you for your information. Good luck! and lots of success! so you can afford a very comfortable roof over your head and a soft carpet or nice wooden sole under your feet 🙂
It’s good to see that you are well and able to earn a living with your art. so many webcomics just disappear and we never know what happened to the creators. I am looking forward to the return of one of the most beautiful webcomics, and continue to vote for you on TWC, to help keep your spirits up.
Is this comic still being worked on?
Hi Fen,
Absolutely! 🙂 I’m currently working on storyboarding the comic in its entirety. Expect a big reboot and frequent updates for Polar Bears starting early next year. Really exciting stuff planned…I intend to devote the whole next year to my bears! Sorry for the wait!
